Input–output feedback linearizing control of linear induction motor taking into consideration the end-effects. Part II: Simulation and experimental results

چکیده
This is the second part of a paper, divided in two parts, dealing with the application of the input–output feedback linearization (FL) control technique to linear induction motors (LIMs). The first part has treated the theoretical formulation of the input–output feedback linearization control technique as to be applied to linear induction motors. This second part describes the set of tests, both in numerical simulations and experiments, performed to assess the validity of the control technique. In particular, it addresses the issues of the sensitivity of the FL control versus the LIM electrical parameters’ variations and the improvements achievable by considering the LIM dynamic end effects in the control formulation. The proposed FL technique has been further compared, under the same closed-loop bandwidths of the flux and speed systems, with the industrial standard in terms of high performance control technique: field oriented control (FOC). & 2014 Elsevier Ltd. Input–output feedback linearizing control of linear induction motor taking into consideration the end-effects. Part I: Theoretical analysis
This first part of a paper, divided into two parts, deals with the theoretical formulation of the input– output feedback linearization (FL) control technique as to be applied to linear induction motors (LIMs). Linear induction motors, differently from rotating induction motors (RIMs), present other strong nonlinearities caused by the so-called dynamic end effects, leading to a space-vector mode...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Nonlinear Controller for Speed Sensorless PMSM Taking the Iron Loss Resistance into Account (RESEARCH NOTE)
In this paper, an adaptive nonlinear controller is designed for rotor Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (SPMSM) drive on the basis of Input-Output Feedback Control (IOFC), and Recursive Least Square (RLS) method. The RLS estimator detects the motor electromechanical parameters, including the motor iron loss resistance online. Moreover, a Sliding-Mode (SM) observer is developed for onli...

In this paper, the design and implementation of adaptive speed controller for a sensorless synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) drive system is proposed. A combination of well-known adaptive input-output feedback linearization (AIOFL) and adaptive backstepping (ABS) techniques are used for speed tracking control of SynRM. The AIOFL controller is capable of estimating motor two-axis inductances ...

This paper presents a new adaptive Sliding-Mode flux observer for speed sensorless and rotor flux control of three-phase induction motor (IM) drives. The motor drive is supplied by a three-level space vector modulation (SVM) inverter. Considering the three-phase IM Equations in a stator stationary two axis reference frame, using the partial feedback linearization control and Sliding-Mode (SM) c...

Hysteresis motors are self starting brushless synchronous motors which are being used widely due to their interesting features. Accurate modeling of the motors is crucial to successful investigating the dynamic performance of them. The hysteresis loops of the material used in the rotor and their influences on the parameters of the equivalent circuit are necessary to be taken into considerat...
